Make it your file manager
Try Omanta alongside Nautilus, and switch the whole desktop over when you're ready.
Where it is
A terminal · Super+Ctrl+O, Toggle
What you can do
- omanta-switch omanta makes Omanta the default everywhere at once: Super+Shift+F, folders opened from other apps, and double-clicked archives.
- omanta-switch nautilus switches back, and puts your settings back exactly as they were.
- omanta-switch status shows which is in charge now; omanta-switch toggle flips.
- omanta-switch install-menu adds Omanta File Manager to the Omarchy Toggle menu (Super+Ctrl+O). It's ticked while Omanta is the default. remove-menu takes it out again.
- Omarchy's own files are never changed; there's no need to log out.
- After switching, close the other file manager's windows, so "show in folder" from other apps goes to the new one.

The commands
omanta-switch omanta | Make Omanta the default: Super+Shift+F, folders opened from other apps, double-clicked archives. |
omanta-switch nautilus | Back to Nautilus, with your settings exactly as they were. |
omanta-switch toggle | Whichever isn't in charge now. |
omanta-switch status | Which is in charge, and whether the Toggle-menu entry is installed. |
omanta-switch install-menu | Add Omanta File Manager to the Toggle menu (Super+Ctrl+O). It's ticked while Omanta is the default. |
omanta-switch remove-menu | Take that entry out again. |
Switching sets the default apps for folders and archives, and adds a clearly marked block to
~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua for the two file-manager keys. Omarchy's own files are never changed,
and switching back removes the block.
