Install OmaAudio

Guide / 01

Installing OmaAudio

Download the package from GitHub, install it with pacman, and open it from the app launcher.

Where it is

A terminal · github.com/28allday/omaaudio

What you can do

  • Follow the install steps on GitHub (github.com/28allday/omaaudio#install). They always match the latest release.
  • Download the package first, then install the file you downloaded with sudo pacman -U. It's unsigned, so pacman won't install it straight from a web address.
  • Everything it needs comes with it, including FFmpeg and the Calf, LSP and x42 effects. Optional extras add JACK connections (pipewire-jack) and effects in their own windows (xorg-xwayland).
  • Open it from the app launcher, or type omaaudio in a terminal. omaaudio song.wav opens a file straight away.
  • To remove it: sudo pacman -R omaaudio. Your settings and saved projects are left where they are.
