Validate, export and remove
Check a family's files, copy them out, print a specimen, or remove a family you no longer need.
Where it is
The Actions at the foot of the Info pane · the Font and File menus
What you can do
- Validate (Ctrl+Shift+V) checks every file of the family: the table directory, the required tables, glyph count, names, the character map, the embedding flags, and whether the font engine can load it.
- Export… (Ctrl+E) copies the family's files to a folder you choose.
- Save specimen as PDF (Ctrl+P) writes the family's specimen, a waterfall of sizes or its full repertoire, ready to print.
- Show in file manager opens the folder the files are in.
- Remove from your fonts (Delete) asks first, then deletes the family's files from your own font folder. System fonts can't be removed here; deactivate them instead.
