Copy, move and paste
Select, copy, paste and drag files, and make new folders.
Where it is
The right-click menu · Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V
What you can do
- Click to select. Ctrl-click adds or removes one item, Shift-click selects a range, Ctrl+A selects everything. Drag across empty space to select with a box.
- Ctrl+C copies, Ctrl+X cuts, Ctrl+V pastes. It's the desktop's clipboard, so you can paste into or from other file managers.
- Drag files onto a folder, into the other side of a split window, or onto a place in the sidebar. On the same drive a drag moves; to another drive it copies. Hold Ctrl as you drop to copy, or Shift to move.
- If a name is already taken, Omanta asks once for the whole lot: Keep both, Skip or Replace.
- Ctrl+Shift+N makes a new folder. With files in ~/Templates, New Document in the right-click menu makes a copy of one.
- A circle at the foot of the sidebar shows copies in progress; click it for details, or to cancel one.
- Ctrl+Z undoes, and Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes.
