The Arrange page
Tracks and clips side by side: move, trim, fade, set levels, split and delete.
Where it is
The Arrange page (Alt+2) · the Clip and Arrange menus · right-click a track or clip
What you can do
- Each track holds clips on a shared timeline. Click a clip's name tab to select it; the Move tool (G) drags it to another time or track.
- Drag the lower half of a clip's edge to trim it. The audio stays where it is on the timeline.
- Drag a clip's top corner handle inward to fade it in or out; drag it back to the edge to remove the fade.
- Drag the clip's level line up or down to make it louder or quieter. Double-click returns it to 0 dB.
- Ctrl+K splits the clip at the playhead. Snap (S) lines edges up with clips, markers and the playhead.
- To delete a track, right-click its header › Delete Track, or select its header with no clip or time selected and press Delete. Ctrl+Shift+N adds an empty track; Ctrl+Shift+D duplicates one.
- A new recording lands on the armed track, or on a new track just under the one you're on.
