Editing a take
Select, cut, fade and level one recording on the Take page.
Where it is
The Take page (Alt+1) · the Edit and Clip menus
What you can do
- Drag across the sound to select a stretch. Edits act on the selection on the active track.
- Ctrl+I fades in across the selection and Ctrl+Shift+I fades out.
- Delete removes the selection and leaves a gap. Shift+Delete removes it and closes the gap.
- Ctrl+A selects everything. Ctrl+Shift+L normalizes the selection to −1 dBFS.
- Trim to Selection keeps the selected part and removes the rest of the track's audio.
- Ctrl+Z undoes an edit and Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes it. History, in the left panel, lists every step.
