Mixing and the master bus
Faders, pan, mute and solo for every track, and effects on the whole mix.
Where it is
The Mixer (Ctrl+Shift+M) · each track's header
What you can do
- Every track has a strip: fader, pan, mute (M) and solo (S). Double-click a fader to return it to 0 dB, or a pan to centre it.
- Solo hears a track with only what its audio routes need. A muted track stays silent even when soloed.
- The master strip on the right sets the level of the whole mix. Its FX button opens the master bus for effects on everything.
- Ctrl+Alt+B hears the mix before the master bus, level-matched, to judge what the bus does.
- A role such as Music or Dialogue is a label and colour; it doesn't change the sound.
