Tags, stars and notes
Mark families with your own words, star the ones you reach for, and keep a note of why you have them.
Where it is
The top of the Info pane · Ctrl+S · the Tags section of the sidebar
What you can do
- A tag is a word you choose: display, body, code, a client, a licence. Type one into Add a tag… and press Enter; tags you have used before are offered as you type.
- Tags appear in the sidebar with how many families have them. Click one to list those families, or type #tag in the filter box.
- Right-click a tag in the sidebar to rename it everywhere or take it off every family.
- The star in the Info pane, or Ctrl+S, floats a family to the top of every list and adds it to Starred in the sidebar.
- The note is free text for each family: why you have it, where it is licensed, what it is for.
- Tags, stars and notes are kept in ~/.config/omafont/library.json. The fonts themselves are never changed.
